Thomas, Brad - Sgt. 1st Class

Sgt. 1st Class Brad Thomas gave his life in Afghanistan on June 20, 2012. The funeral was held on July 1, 2012 at Rock Springs Baptist Church with burial at Nine Forks Baptist Church in Dacusville, SC. As a photographer and ex-military member I wanted to capture the celebration of the life that was given. The purpose was not to invade the privacy of the family and friends in their time of mourning, but to demonstrate to those in mourning how many other lives are affected by the loss of one. I did not attend the service, only the procession and the burial from a respectable distance.
