On July 25, 2015 Foothills Mustang Club Took a ride to mountains of upstate SC and western NC. Mr. Freddy Raines was asked to lead the convoy on this 170 mile excursion. There were about 26 cars that started the run at Cherrydale cinemas just north of Greenville. The convoy headed north on US276 into Brevard NC for lunch. After lunch the group continued north on US276 through Pisgah National Forest. When the group reached NC215 they headed south on the beautiful twisted blacktop that is a favorite for motorcyclists. Upon reaching the Blue Ridge Parkway a stop was made for group photos. From that point it was all downhill. NC215 was taken south to US64 and Rosman NC. The last leg of the trip was US178 south to SC11. The weather for the first 2/3 of the trip was beautiful. At the summit of the trip, the Mustangs were in the clouds on the Blue Ridge Parkway and some light rain had begun to fall.
